In 1995 the Colombian Goverment introduced "Rock al Parque" (Rock at the Park), an official national rock festival, as a way to represent and unify youth culture and impose a touristic landmark in the hard-to-sell city of Bogotá. After almost 15 years, this liturgic event has shaped Colombian youth in a way that brings more memories of the Hitler Youth than of Woodstock. ROCK IS DEAD was a photographic documentation of a series of public interventions, featuring a simple message and the reactions that it generated, later shown as part of "La Ciudad Gris", a show curated by Fernando Eescobar at Centro Colombo Americano in 2006
