Expanded Print Media at Universidad de Los Andes

As part of the Department of Art Program, Expanded Print Media will be taught at Universidad de Los Andes. This class proposes a collaborative studio environment in which we will investigate various printmaking techniques, examine the history of the medium, observe and critique its current state, and experiment with the different forms that compose the expanded field of contemporary print. Through studio and post-studio projects will propose and discover alternative approaches to printmaking, cultural production and social engagement, while discussing issues of authorship, piracy, reproduction, dissemination, interchange, and participation.
