A series of banners depecting moments from an artifically historical soccer match between EZLN and Inter Milan

"The Other Campaign" is a photographic installation consisting of a grid of black and white banners. The pieces are composed of images from the piece "Pro Revolution Soccer" superimposed with phrases from EZLN’s missives and manifestos that refer to soccer as a revolutionary exercise. The design of the pieces plays with the heroic archetype imposed by global corporations as a commercial image for sporting goods worldwide —especially in recent campaigns by NIKE. In this way, the installation aims to account for the discursive and ideological similarities between revolutionary language and commercial slogans, especially the surprising links between symmetrically opposed actors such as EZLN and NIKE (official sponsor of Inter Milan, which in its supports EZLN). This structure infers how EZLN feeds parasitically on the global system of capitalism while configuring an autonomous zone that rejects the absorption of its mechanisms
